Q: Who is eligible?

A: All members and their family members are eligible for this service.

Q: How is the Member Insurance Marketplace different than the federal and state health insurance marketplaces?

A: We have created a one-stop shop for you and your family members to receive professional assistance in shopping for, comparing, and enrolling in health insurance plans, both on and off the federal and state marketplaces. Our goal is to expand your options by giving you access to plans located on the government marketplaces as well as options off of those marketplaces.

Q: Do I need to purchase a federal or state marketplace health insurance plan?

A: No. We offer access to qualified insurance plans, both on and off the government marketplaces.

Q: What if I have pre-existing conditions?

A: A pre-existing condition is no longer able to limit your Major Medical Insurance. The same plans (at the same rates) for those without pre-existing conditions are available to you.

Q: Can I apply for a subsidy or tax credit through the Member Insurance Marketplace?

A: Yes. If you qualify to purchase a health insurance plan from a federal or state marketplace, you can apply for a subsidy/tax credit through the Member Insurance Marketplace.
